Awakening the World

I almost didn't play this cd. I almost passed it right over. I'm not going to make any apologies for this band's appearance. I'm not going to sugar-coat the cheesy "celestial deity" personas that they've given themselves. Lost Horizon isn't the first band to do this. It's all very goofy and made more so by how seriously they seem to take it, but for whatever reasons they've chosen this path, it has given their music a passion and intensity that can't be denied. This cd isn't for everyone, but if you like really heavy, really fast music with a really good, powerful singer flowing interesting vocal melodies over the top of it all, then this band is for you. --Scott
