Jorn definitely made a statement with this cd. He's not an AOR vocalist. He is a metal singer, and a good one. This album is heavy. Not fast heavy, but that sort of Black Sabbath, Dio type of trudge along heaviness. He's not going for a glossy commercial acceptance. He gets right in your face. His vocal melodies and arrangements are very interesting and often unexpected and although it may cost him some success with the more mainstream commercial audiences, I was really impressed with the experimental approach he took to the songwriting. He really shunned some traditional tried and true formulas in favor of a more original sound and it ended up giving him a pretty unique album. --
