Back Into Your System
One of the few more modern bands to slip through the cracks and sneak into the rathole this year, Saliva is a band my brother kept pushing on me. The more melodic songs have an oddly strong Duran Duran sound mixed with something heavier like Fuel and sometimes Godsmack. And those were the ones I liked! They have four or five songs with good harmonies and catchy hooks that are okay. One of them was even co-written by Nikki Sixx, but the other half of the cd gets a little noisy. Like they're trying too hard to cover up there obvious Duran Duran influence. Open minded listeners might enjoy this one. --
