The ULTIMATE thrash album. There was almost nothing like it before, and there has been absolutely nothing like it since. Since this album's release this is the standard by which all other thrash bands are judged. It made Tipper Gore's hit list, it scared the shit out of every parent in the country, and took the whole Satanic gimmick (which Slayer's thrash predecessors like Wendy O. Williams had explored just barely) into the stratosphere. Altogether, it is a defining moment in heavy metal history. --Anonymous
