Back Down to One
Here’s one that a lot of you probably missed. Warrant’s former front man on his own now, proves that he is still one of the most consistent song writers in this genre. He’s working with a more stripped down sound, that sort of old Cheap Trick, sort of punk thing, and although I would have preferred some tighter production, a better guitar sound and a better drum sound, I still kept coming back to this cd. The songs are just solid. Very catchy. Jani’s sense of timing and pacing, are all just terrific on this album. His song structure, vocal melodies and voice are as good as ever. If you liked Warrant, or the later Harem Scarem and Danger Danger, you’ll love this cd. --
