Beautiful Creatures
Deuce
With their second cd, Deuce, Joe Leste (Bang Tango’s former frontman) and the other Beautiful Creatures have a new drummer and a new guitarist joining the fold, but the sound of their sophomore effort remains pretty similar to their first offering. For those of you that missed their debut, that sound would be a heavy, raunchy rock similar to what Motley Crue did with John Corabi back in 1994. It’s a style that has been custom fitted for Leste’s throaty, gutteral delivery. The tracks are dark, distorted and dripping with attitude. And with the exception of the too noisy Never and monotonous screaming Straight to Hell right in the middle of the cd, it’s a pretty solid group of songs. If you enjoy bands like Bang Tango, or maybe even the Cult or Velvet Revolver, you might want to check this out. --
