Extreme Behaviour
Hinder was a band that was recommended to me by several people before I finally gave them a chance. I wasn't (and still am not) a fan of their first single (Get Stoned). To me it sounds more grungey than rock and it just didn't do anything for me. The second song didn't strike me as any better, so it took a while before I bothered to listen to the rest of the cd. After repeated listenings though, I have to say, they are one of the better new bands in the rock genre. The singer has a very distinctive voice and they seem to have a knack for interesting vocal melodies and unique arrangements. I still don't like the first two songs, (or track seven) but tracks three through six are about as solid a block of songs as you can ask for on a debut disc. It's definitely worth picking up. Depending on which direction they decide to go, Hinder could be around for quite a while. --
