Cryptic Writings
I was never a big Megadeth fan. They had a few scattered songs that I liked here and there, but usually not good enough to get me through a whole album of Dave's singing. I always pictured Dave trying to compose faster and heavier songs to prove himself to Metallica or something... All that changed with this cd though. Trust and Almost Honest were two of the best songs of the decade. Secret Place and Use the Man were damn good too. This is really a fantastic album. A perfect mix of heaviness and melody, rhythm and groove... This was Megadeth at their peak. If you want to get to Know Megadeth pick up this album. You won't be disapointed. --
